Mt Albert and surrounding areas

Mt Albert is only a few minutes from the Auckland CBD and is well connected to motorways, trains and buses.

Mt Albert Village

Mt Albert Village is only a couple of minutes walk away and has a wide range of cafés, fast food outlets, restaurants and grocery stores. A more up-market cluster of shops further up New North Road has Pyrénéés, a French delicatessen and café, a small grocery store and an Italian restaurant. You'll find them right opposite iconic children's playground Rocket Park.

Just up the road Alberton, Auckland’s most romantic colonial mansion has an extensive collection of original artefacts and a gorgeous heritage garden in which to wander.

For more extensive retail shops, department stores, movie cinemas, a large supermarket and food hall, Westfield St Lukes Mall is only 5 minutes drive away. It is one of Auckland's biggest and most modern one-stop shopping malls and is a hive of activity seven days a week.

Mt Albert is also home to a highly regarded tertiary education facility UNITEC and an international tertiary institute AIS.

Western Springs

A leisurely walk away is Western Springs, where you'll find the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT), the Auckland Zoo, Western Springs Stadium and beautiful Western Springs lake and park.

Kingsland & Ponsonby

Easily accessible by public transport nearby Kingsland and Ponsonby are Auckland's coolest suburbs when it comes to fashion, night life and eating out. There are hip restaurants and cafes lining both main streets and it is in these enclaves of the fashionable that you will find the most interesting local designers and the best shopping.
